Tape for Social Distancing

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

Need a way to mark out those six-foot marks everyone keeps on talking about? Why not do it with tape? Tape is a quick, easy, and affordable solution to help with line distancing, cautioning off tables and seating areas, or directing crowd flow.

Sounds great, but what type of tape? Duct tape comes in many different colors and adheres to most surfaces, but sometimes it's a pain to take up and it leaves a residue behind. Painters tape, on the other hand, won't leave residue but detaches from your surface with the lightest pull or tare.

If only there was a durable tape and left little to no residue. Thankfully a man named Ross Lowell invented a tape called Gaffers Tape. Gaffers Tape is a cloth tape used heavily in the Entertainment and film industry. The tape is both durable and leaves little to no residue behind on most surfaces. What's even better is it comes in multiple colors and sizes for any application.

With the entertainment industry on hold, we have plenty of tape for your facility or project. Contact us today to make a purchase or talk to one of our knowledgable staff members about how gaffers tape can be applied to your application.
